The EPA regulates 90 contaminants in drinking water. Over 250 have been detected. The FDA does not require supplement companies to verify their labels before selling. “Natural” on a food label has no enforceable definition. “Third-party tested” can mean almost anything.
Alternative Health exists to close these gaps. Where COAs exist, we decode them. Where they do not, we evaluate ingredients, specifications, and manufacturer transparency. Products without third-party verification are flagged. The evaluation framework adapts to the category — contaminant analysis for water, ingredient verification for supplements, performance specifications for air purifiers and lighting — but the standard is consistent: what does the evidence show, and can you verify it?
We evaluate products in the order they matter. The categories below are ranked by how much influence they have on your daily toxic load, beginning with the substance you consume the most of and expanding outward.
